Synopsis
Art. Is. Remedy.' is a documentary that explores the therapeutic potential of art, particularly painting, through the stories of abstract artist Emma Charlton and Tianna Modquette Dagher, who continues to battle bone cancer.
Director
Ismail, an Egyptian-British filmmaker, discovered his passion for filmmaking in his late teens. Inspired by a LAMDA masterclass, he dived into the world of film. Seeking experience, he went on to join Sylvia Young Theatre School before deciding to take a step behind the camera. Completing a course at LFA and attending the BFI's 'Young Filmmakers Academy' in 2019, Ismail's dedication grew.
