THE FIFTH EDITION OF THE STARLING FILM FESTIVAL WILL TAKE PLACE FROM 9TH - 15TH NOVEMBER 2026.
FESTIVAL SCREENING
For one night only, the Starling Film Festival will present 12 carefully selected films at their in-person event at The Light Cinema in New Brighton.
This year's program proudly showcases an international selection of films from Ireland, Mexico, Switzerland, New Zealand, US, Brazil, Italy, Iran, Canada, and UK, spanning diverse categories such as Fiction, Animation, Documentary, and Student Films!
Additionally, for the third time, the festival is proud to present the Aviary Audience Award. This prestigious award will be given to one of the 12 finalist films screened at the festival screening, with the winner being selected and celebrated by the attending audience on the night.

FILM CLUB
Starling run a monthly film club (usually the last Tuesday of every month). We pick a film each month to watch (please note we don`t screen the films, just discuss them) and then meet up to discuss it! Simple as that. We`ll discuss what we liked about the film, what we didn't like, and basically anything, and everything in between!
